Good morrow populace! Our avian friends are out in force serenading a return to warmer climes. These harbingers of Spring are exceedingly welcome. Today’s work is the result of aggregating many years of managing people and being managed by a wide assortment of individuals and their “styles”. It is not keyed in on any one workplace, school, boss etc. but rather is meant to conflate the experience of them all. Also brand new, it was a rather prolific weekend for poetry in the Blaikie household here. POLC, March 25, 2018. Thank you!
Condemnation can be best
When it procures a greater zest
Anger though for anger’s sake
Leaves only carnage in its wake
If what you want is greater peace
It goes to they who says the least
Power lives in mute command
Fear makes naught but shifting sand.
I don’t generally like my new pieces right away but I’m quite pleased with how this one turned out. I see something in my head and grasp like someone drowning for the right words. Sometimes you find them, sometimes it dies. Occasionally though the Tetris blocks fall all on their own into place to vanish the rows beneath.
You may hear from me agian this evening so I’ll close out for now with the following thought. Do something today, tomorrow you will thank you for! Or don’t. I’m not particularly invested.
